. The CSPO was created after a merger between the former Commission Scolaire Outaouais-Hull (CSOH) and the Commission Scolaire d'Aylmer school boards in 1998.

It currently runs schools in the Hull and Aylmer sectors of the city of Gatineau as well as in the municipalities of Chelsea
