Cordillera Subbética

The Subbaetic Mountains or Subbaetic System ( or Sistema Subbético) is one of the two main systems of mountain ranges that is part of the Baetic System in the southern Iberian Peninsula
. It runs to the west and north of the Cordillera Penibética
from Cape Trafalgar
in Cádiz Province (including Gibraltar
) across Andalusia and the Region of Murcia
, reaching the Mediterranean Sea
shores in the southern Valencian Community
. The highest peakes reach heights between 1,500m and well over 2,000 m.
The Prebaetic System
