). Soon they get married and leave for their honeymoon, but on the way due to bad weather decide to spend a night at Sunil’s Boss bungalow. There Sunil’s boss’s son, Dheeraj Kapoor (Prem Chopra
) attempts to rape Sonia, when she was alone. But Sunil’s arrives in time and a fight ensues resulting in the death of Dheeraj.
Sunil gets arrested and sent to jail, and later sentenced to death by the court. But on the way to prison, the police van meets with an accident and all persons are killed. Years after, Sonia, who is now living as Sunil’s widow and working as a school teacher, finds out that Sunil is still alive, living with a new identity of Sudhir and is married to a rich women named Chandani (Rakhee). Sunil at his end in his attempt to establish a new identity had earlier met Chandni, though he ends up marrying her to give her illegitimate child his name. But soon the law is at his door steps once again after so many years, this time however there is an added crime - bigamy!
