. In 2009, the Pritikin Longevity Center moved its entire operation from Aventura, Florida, to the campus of the Doral Golf Resort & Spa. The Pritikin facilities (medical, gym, exercise rooms, kitchen, dining room, lecture rooms, and offices) occupy parts of the spa building. Pritikin guests normally stay in the hotel suites (in a building next to the spa building) or in Lodges 2 and 3. The hotel suites and the lodges are operated by Marriott.

The Blue Monster is the most well-known of the resort's courses. It played host to the Doral Open
on the PGA Tour
from 1962 to 2006. Since 2007 the WGC-Cadillac Championship has made its home at the Blue Monster after having previously been played at various courses around the world. In 2009, the Blue Monster joined the PGA Tour's Tournament Players Club
network of courses and rebranded as the TPC Blue Monster at Doral.
The resort's other courses have also played host to important events. The Gold Course hosted the PGA Tour's Qualifying Tournament
in 1999, and the Red Course hosted The Office Depot
on the LPGA Tour
in 2000.
