The mission of the Dr. Harry Fumba Moniba Foundation (HFMF), a 501(c) (3) U.S. nonprofit public charity, is to promote Dr. Moniba's legacies of nonviolence
and public service
integrity by providing educational opportunities that make a difference in the lives of deserving youths in postwar Liberia. The foundation also supports programs that fight illiteracy
and raises the standards of living for Liberians. The foundation was awarded its tax exempt status in August 2008.

The Chief Operating Officer of the foundation is Clarence Moniba, the youngest son of Dr. Moniba.
The foundation provides a 'Moniba Scholarship' to graduating high school seniors in Liberia who have demonstrated the ability and drive to succeed. A student's grade point average and interest in pursuing a career in public service are determining factors to getting offered a full scholarship. While on a Moniba Scholarship, a student has to maintain a college GPA of 3.2 and volunteer (serving in mentoring roles to elementary and middle school students).
National Library & Computer Center
The foundation's goal is also to build a National Library & Computer Center in the capital city of Monrovia which will be open to all Liberians.
