, and was educated at Hamilton College studying as an engineer. He suffered an injury when thrown from a carriage, which prevented him from continuing his profession. He later studied at a branch of the University then at Detroit, became Chaplain

E. C. Walker continued to practice law until his death in 1894. His son resumed the practice under Walker & Spalding.
