Eswaran was one of the stalwarts behind the growth of "Kongu Nanbargal Sangam" at Chennai. He has served as the General Secretary of "Kongu Nanbargal Sangam" for four years, and is currently serving as the Vice President of the Sangam. He also indulged himself in "Kongu Vellala Goundergal Peravai" and went on to become its General Secretary.

Political career

Eswaran was one of the founders of Kongunadu Munnetra Kazhagam. The party named Eswaran as its General Secretary in 2009. He contested in 2009 Lokshaba elections as KMK candidate for Coimbatore
