His most productive period, however, was lived with Portuguese League fellow side Boavista FC. With the Porto
club, Silva was instrumental in the 2001 league conquest (Boavista's only), namely scoring in the decisive last match, a 3–0 home win against Desportivo das Aves.
In the subsequent UEFA Champions League
