. Currently, Elverum Håndball competes in the Norwegian First League of Handball. The club was founded in 1946 by a group of 26 people. Elverum has played in the finals in the Norwegian Handball Cup three times, and lost in all of them. Their best league position ever is a 3rd place in the top division in the 1994/95 season, and they later won the knock out stages. They also won the knock out stages of the top division in 2008.
