footballer who played as an attacking midfielder, and a current manager.
He played 12 seasons in La Liga
, his entire professional career, with Sporting de Gijón
(two years) and CD Tenerife
(ten), going on to work with several teams as a manager.
Miñambres represented Spain
at the 1994 World Cup

's famed youth system, Mareo, Miñambres made his debuts with the first team during 1987–88, being an undisputed starter in the following season, where he netted a career-best nine goals in La Liga

In 1989–90, he switched to CD Tenerife
, where he went on to be active part of the side's top flight consolidation and consequent UEFA Cup participations. As the Canary Islands
' outfit was relegated in 1998–99, Miñambres retired from football aged 34, and went into management.
He started coaching former side Tenerife (being one of four coaches during 1999–2000) then continued with Hércules CF
