Frank W. Springstead High School is a public high school located in Spring Hill, FL. The school was opened in 1976 and named after the developer Frank W. Springstead. In 2006 Springstead High School was ranked as #891 in Newsweek
America's Best High Schools, which was based on their Advanced Placement test scores. Since then Springstead High School has ranked in the top 6% of high schools in the United States. Which is very rare for a school in a rural district. Springstead High School was chosen to become the only International Baccalaureate school in Hernando County. This program started in the 2008-2009 school year. Springstead's Eagle Brigade Marching Band is known as one of the best marching bands in the state, consistently placing in the top five each year at FMBC State Finals.

Bell Schedule
The school day is composed of eight 45-minute classes. A broad range of course offerings include exceptional student education, career and technical courses and high level academics. The school also has a dual enrollment program through Pasco-Hernando Community CollegePasco-Hernando Community College

Submarine Team
In 2009, Springstead's human-powered submarine team, Sublime Race Team, placed first in the Tenth International Submarine Races in Bethesda, MD, edging out 17 universities and 1 other high school. Headed by Stephen Barton, the Sublime Race Team is composed of high school students within the Hernando county school district.Administration
