. In 1584 he married Elisabeth of Sulz with whom he had a son Ernst Egon who inherited the title of Count. Elisabeth died in 1601 and in 1606 Frederick married the widow of Wolfgang von Rumpf, Mary of Arco. She died however only one year later.
