Gérald J. Caussé

Gérald Jean Caussé has been a general authority
of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS Church) since April 2008 and is the first person from France
to become a general authority in the history of the LDS Church.
Caussé was born in Bordeaux
. Prior to his call as a general authority, Caussé had served as general manager and member of the board of Pomona, France's largest food distributor. Since August 2009 he has served as a member of the three-member presidency of the LDS Church Europe Area. Causse was raised as a Latter-day Saint.
Caussé was president of the Paris
France Stake of the LDS Church from 2001 to 2007. In April 2007, he became an Area Seventy in the Europe West Area
of the church. On 5 April 2008 Caussé became a member of the church's First Quorum of the Seventy.
Caussé and his wife Valérie were married on Aug. 5, 1986 in the Bern Switzerland Temple
. They are the parents of five children.
