J. Robert Wright is the St. Mark's in the Bowery Professor of Ecclesiastical History at General Theological Seminary

He has written a history of St. Thomas Church (New York City), as well as a history of the Church and the English Crown in the fourteenth century, based on his research into the records of Archbishop Walter Reynolds
