José Ignacio Zahínos Sánchez (born 1 December 1977 in Madrid
) is a retired Spanish
footballer. Mainly a defensive midfielder, his main asset was work-rate.
Also being able to pitch in as central defender, the late bloomer
's career was greatly hampered by injuries - he only played an average of 10 matches per season during his 10-year professional career.
