Today, Kelenföld is an extremely busy station, with almost all passenger and freight carriages operated by the Hungarian Railways towards Transdanubia

Public transport connections at the station include two tram

lines. The station will be the terminus of the planned Line 4
of the Budapest Metro
which is due to open in 2014 or 2015.
