In October 2000 Koç University moved to its permanent campus at Rumeli Feneri, Sarıyer
, Istanbul located on a hill close to the city but far removed from the distractions of city life. It sprawls over a sixty-two acre site. The sixty buildings, academic and administrative - laboratories, library, dormitories, faculty residences, social and sports facilities are the product of a meticulous, integrated design. Drawing upon warm and natural materials, including stone, plaster, wood and clay roof tiles, the architecture is a blend of the historical style of İstanbul and the timeless characteristics of well-established academic institutions.

For the last five years, Koç University ranked in top ten in the list of Turkish universities for number of published articles per faculty member.
Those graduates who have chosen to continue their education in the graduate programs, have been accepted to top schools. 87% of those graduates have received full scholarships from PhD programs they have been accepted to. Koç University has 364 faculty members nearly all of whom are full-time. 95% of the faculty members have received their degrees from American or European Universities. Most faculty members are established researchers in their field.
