Following Masamitsu Hidaka's departure as director on episode 25, Norihiko Sudo took over from episodes 26 onward. In the United States, it began airing on September 8, 2006, and ended on March 3, 2007 on Cartoon Network

There are some Pokémon in Battle Frontier that are not in the Pokédex at the time of sighting, such as Weavile, Electivire & Mime Jr., as they are Sinnoh Pokémon, and had yet to be "discovered." In June 2008, Nintendo released the first 24 episodes in a DVD box set sold exclusively through Wal-Mart and PokemonCenter.com, with the second 23 episodes following three months later.
