- 13 March 1557), son of Francis, Count of Vendôme and Marie of Luxembourg.
At the age of 17, Louis became Bishop of Laon. Later he was elevated to Cardinal Priest of San Silvestro in Capite. He also served as Cardinal Priest of Saint Sabine, Cardinal Bishop of Palestrina
and lastly Bishop of Laon.
