. He was elected to the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly as an Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam candidate from Vedaranyam
constituency in the 1980 election, but defected to the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam
in 2010.
He died at the age of 64 on 14 December 2010.
