Plot

Bill Norman (Allan Lane) wishes to go on a six-month tropical expedition being organised by his millionaire father (George Irving), who agrees subject to him spending 30 days working as a lowly milkman. Norman enthusiastically takes to the task of delivering "Arlen Milk". On his route he meets Sheila Harrison (Joan Fontaine), whom he thinks is her family's maid, but is in fact a débutante. (Harrison's family has fallen on hard times and must "live within their means".) Harrison's family want her to marry wealthy Wally Martin (William Brisbane), but Harrison would rather be with Lane the "milkman". Meanwhile, Norman has fallen for the "maid", but his father will have none of it.
