The Marché du Film is the business counterpart of the Cannes Film Festival
and the largest film market in the world.
It was created in 1959 and it is held annually since then, simultaneously to the Cannes Festival. In 2006 there were more than 10,000 participants from 91 countries and approximately 900 films screened.
