novella A Christmas Carol. The audience follows Jacob Marley's seven-year journey from burial to returning to haunt Ebeneezer Scrooge. It contains all of the characters from Charles Dickens story, but as seen through the jaded vision of Jacob Marley. Marley refuses to believe that he is dead, and then struggles against his fate.
