Sandes has played the last two seasons (2007–08 and 2008–09) with Baloncesto Fuenlabrada
of the Spanish Liga ACB. Prior to his transfer to Spain, he spent five years with Boca Juniors
in Argentina. While Sandes was a member of the team, they won two league titles (2003–04 and 2006–07), four Argentine Cups, and three consecutive Campeonato Sudamericano de Clubes

Sandes is also a long-time member of the Argentine national basketball team. He participated with the Argentina junior team at the 2003 World Championship for Junior Men and 2005 U-21 World Championship. He made his senior team at the 2007 Marchand Continental Championship Cup
