. He was the municipal magistrate in Margate City, New Jersey
, from January 1940 to November 1943. During World War II
, Glenn was commissioned a lieutenant in the United States Navy
and served from November 1943 to June 1946, and subsequently served as a Lieutenant Commander
in the United States Naval Reserve.
After the war, he was elected to serve on the Atlantic County
Board of Chosen Freeholders
from June 1946 to January 1951. He was elected to the New Jersey General Assembly
for an unexpired term in 1950, and was reelected in 1951, 1953, and 1955. He was elected as a Republican to the Eighty-fifth Congress
to fill the vacancy caused by the death of T. Millet Hand
; reelected to the Eighty-sixth
