History

At the end of the season 1991 - 1992, Targoviste was promoted to the first division of female basketball in Romania. In the first year of life, The team finished 9th in the championship, and in the next season it improved its status, finishing 7th. Over the years, the team has had several names: Oțelinox, Livas Metaco, Oțelul Livas, Livas, Livas Petrom, Biandra, Municipal, MCM Târgoviște, BC Municipal MCM.
In the 2009/2010 season, MCM Târgoviște reached the quarterfinals of FIBA Europe Cup and was elimated by Dynamo Kursk (75-57 and 55-76).
