from 1945 to 1950. He was a civil court judge, in Milwaukee County from 1950 to 1954. He was a circuit court judge, State of Wisconsin from 1954 to 1961. He was an Associate justice, Wisconsin Supreme Court
from 1961 to 1967.
Gordon was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin
. Gordon was nominated by President Lyndon B. Johnson
