Médaille commémorative française

The French military campaign decoration or Médaille commémorative française is an award that is intended to distinguish the civilians and soldiers who took part in missions carried out outside of French national territory after March 1, 1991. It was created following the initiative of the Minister for Defence, François Léotard.
It can be awarded to foreign military and civilians having served under French command, subject to approval by their own governments regulations.

Designs
- The medal is round, the obverse (face) presents the symbol of the Republic while the reverse shows a commemorative inscription in French for the Medal.
- The ribbon presents 4 red lines in alternation with 3 blue bands (of 5 mm each one). Note also the presence of a green edging on each side of the ribbon.
