Early life

He was born to N. Neelakanta Pillai M.A. (Eng), (Mal), (Sanskrit), who was a Principal of Govt.Sanskrit College, Trivandrum and who has authored several books in the three languages and JanakiAmma on July 15, 1915 as their only son. He married Maheshwari Amma, Socio, Cultural & Political Activist and daughter of Freedom Fighter K.K. Kunju Pillai. They have a daughter Naja.

Education

Sreekantan Nair passed his S.S.L.C. from M.G.M High School, Thiruvalla in the year 1932. He joined the Changanassery St.Berkman College where he completed his Intermediate

 in 1934. He passed his M.A. degree in English
