Career
Özgen had begun her career at the age of 8 when she was emulating her friends to play tennis in 1994. She kept training at İstanbul based clubs; respectively at Taçspor Kulübü and Dağcılık Tenis Spor Kulübü. She had been invloved in tournaments at the age of 12. Begun her professional career in 2002, she had shown a rapid improvement as ascending from 1099th to 471th place at World Ranking.
