The concert is widely considered by fans to be one of Phish's best-ever shows, and is referred to by the band itself as being one of their top five concerts. Following this 1995 show, Phish established a regular tradition of performing multi-night New Year's shows at Madison Square Garden.
The concert setlist features exemplary versions of Phish's live staples, including "Mike's Song" and a cover of The Who
song "Drowned." The show also includes a substantial number of songs from Phish's mythic Gamehendge
cycle, many of them fan favorites that have become somewhat rare in recent years.
The album was released on December 20, 2005, to celebrate the show's tenth anniversary, and received the "Archival Album of the Year" award at the 6th Annual Jammy Awards in 2006.
