The Prime Minister's Spokesman (PMS, or alternatively Prime Minister's Official Spokesman) is a position in the United Kingdom Civil Service, located in the Prime Minister's Office in 10 Downing Street

10 Downing Street, colloquially known in the United Kingdom as "Number 10", is the headquarters of Her Majesty's Government and the official residence and office of the First Lord of the Treasury, who is now always the Prime Minister....

 and utilised by the British Prime Minister. The spokesperson addresses a small group of press and media correspondents, known as lobby correspondents, each morning to deliver statements on current events on behalf of the Prime Minister.

Following the 2010 General Election, it was reported that Simon Lewis had left the post of Prime Minister’s Official Spokesman, and that Steve Field would act as PMS until further notice.
