On June 15, 1913, a group of boys, which included Antônio Miguez, José Batista Pavão, Edmundo Martins, Nestor Ferreira Lima, Gervásio Pimentel, and Cleto Santos decided to found a football club, because they were not allowed to play in the existing ones.On June 21, 1913, at Ilha dos Amores, in Parque Moscoso neighborhood, in Vitória, they founded the club.
