, and was one key offensive element, alongside veteran Salva and Nabil Baha
, in a side that returned to the top division after a two-year absence.
However, on 10 August 2008, he left the Andalusia

. The following day, the player signed a two-year contract with Alicante CF
, freshly promoted to the second level, as former team Rayo Vallecano. After a sole season, with relegation, he moved teams again, joining Girona FC
