As a child, Szilvay played in the Helsinki Strings
, appeared on Finnish television more than 50 times as part of the artistic-educational Minifiddlers in Musicland TV series (YLE) and performed with the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra
at the age of ten.
Szilvay appears as soloist with all major Finnish orchestras. She regularly performs with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra
under the baton of Leif Segerstam
and has toured with the orchestra in Germany, Austria, Singapore
and South America, including her debut at the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires
. In addition, Szilvay has been invited to tour with the Lahti Symphony Orchestra
in Austria and with the Ostrobothnian Chamber Orchestra in Germany. In Scandinavia
, she has performed on tour with the Orkester Norden in Copenhagen
, Oslo
, and Stockholm
, amongst others.
Szilvay appears regularly as soloist as well as chamber musician at many international music festivals that include the Kuhmo Chamber Music Festival, Helsinki Festival, Savonlinna Opera Festival
