The community is located at the Schwäbische Alb in the northeastern corner of the district of Reutlingen
. The villages concerned are Böhringen, Donnstetten and Zainingen plus the two hamlets of Strohweiler and Aglishardt. The community is named after the Römerstein, the highest hill of the region at 875 m.
