San Francisco Javier de Satevó (frequently apocapated to Satevó) is a village in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. It serves as the municipal seat for the surrounding municipality of Satevó
.
In the INEGI 2005 Census, San Francisco Javier de Satevó reported a total population of 450.
by the Jesuit missionary José Pascual in 1640.
The mission was, however, destroyed in a Tarahumara
revolt in 1652 and not rebuilt until 1674 under Fr. Juan Sarmiento.
