(Ed Helms
) tries to make Erin
's (Ellie Kemper

(Steve Carell
) to take her to lunch at a place of her choosing. During lunch, Michael accidentally reveals to Erin that her boyfriend Andy was previously engaged to fellow office worker Angela
(Angela Kinsey
), a fact which Andy had concealed from Erin. Upon learning about the prior engagement, Erin becomes visually disturbed, but tries to stay as composed as possible. Back at the office, during the main party, Andy serenades Erin. However, she responds angrily by throwing a cake in his face during his performance. She reveals her knowledge of the prior engagement with Angela, and berates several female office workers. Despite numerous attempts from fellow office workers to help console her, Erin ultimately decides to take some time away from Andy. At the end of the day, Michael cheers her up with some jokes and Andy notes that at least someone has made her happy on Secretary's Day.
Meanwhile, Oscar
circulates a video he made, which compares Kevin
's voice to Cookie Monster
's. Kevin doesn't think it is funny, and complains to Gabe
about the video. At the Secretary's Day party, both Jim
and Kelly
mock the voice and make Cookie Monster impressions while Kevin looks on. In an effort to assert his fledgling and weak authority, Gabe bans the office from talking about the video and about Cookie Monster. When the jokes continue, Gabe retaliates agressively, and suspends Pam without pay for contradicting his orders, then Jim for defending her, and then even Dwight
for applauding Gabe's prior punishments. Gabe later calls corporate and discovers he lacks the power to suspend workers or even reprimand them. He returns to the office to craftily make everyone forget about the incident, but Toby
tips off Pam to the mistake. Pam and Jim team up and reverse the situation, getting a 'two day paid vacation', while Dwight apologizes and kisses Gabe's hand instead. After Jim and Pam leave, Gabe decides to save face and mock Kevin as well, but does a poor impression. Kevin finally retaliates by doing an impression of Gabe, and the rest of the office joins his mockery.
At the end of the episode, Kevin tries to get Oscar back by making his own parody video by using Oscar's voice and comparing him to The Count, but only Michael ends up finding it funny.
