Seán was a member of the Limerick U21 panel for 3 years, 2008, 2009 and 2010. He starred for L.I.T in this years Fitzgibbon cup campaign scoring 2 9 in the process and made the Ulster Bank Rising Stars Team Of The Year at Full forward.

He attended Coláiste Mhichíl, Sexton Street where he was senior hurler of the year in 2007.
He has played every championship game for his club Murroe Boher for the past four years since making his debut versus Patrickswell in 2007 scoring 2 2 at the age of just 17.
