After the 2009 season, St. Bonaventure, along with fellow Ventura county private school Oaks Christian, was moved into the Marmonte league. However, the Seraphs continued their success, as they became Co-Champions of the league in their first year with Oaks Christian and Westlake. Each finished with a league record of 8-1.

St. Bonaventure is recognized for its outstanding athletic program, especially in football. In the Channel League, where St. Bonaventure was the only private school in a league of public school teams, St. Bonaventure never lost a Channel league football game since it was admitted in 2002.
