. Recently, the school started a scheme where pupils pick their GCSE options in Year 8, instead of the usual Year 9. The head teacher is Mr Jim Foley.

The school has its own library, known as the Aquinas Resource Centre or ARC, where pupils can read and get help with work. They also have a large playground, one large sports hall, a gym, a music technology suite, a technology suite, and a fitness suite available to students during breaks, lunch, and after school.

The canteen has introduced a 'cashless-canteen' system, where pupils use their fingerprints to pay for meals. There are machines located in the main corridor, in which pupils credit their accounts.
