The school has five associated primary schools - Our Lady of Peace, St. Anthony's, St. David's, St. Fillan's and St. Margaret's. The school roll is 738 pupils. The school's motto is "Ora et Labora" which means "Pray and Work".

The school is laid out over two floors, with three main wings. The contents of the West wing include administration offices, learning support and the PE department on the ground floor, and the RE department, Oratory (chapel), and meeting rooms on the first floor. In the South wing, there are the Music, Social Subjects and Modern Languages departments on the ground floor, and the English and Maths departments on the first floor. This is also where the staff room and viewing gallery are located. This gallery looks out over the Street (see end of paragraph). The North wing houses the Technical, Art and Home Economics departments on the ground floor, as well as the S6 common room, and the Computing, Business Studies and Science departments on the first floor. The three main parts of the building are linked by a large, roughly rectangular social area, known as The Street, which houses the cafeteria, stage and main meeting area for pupils during breaks. The Street also features underfloor heating
and vending machines.
