Built in 1884, St Mark's Church celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2009. It serves the local village of Grenoside in North Sheffield.
The previous incumbent was the Rev. Mark Carey, son of George, Baron Carey of Clifton

). After his departure there was no Priest in the Parish until John, Bishop of Sheffield
, appointed the Rev. Martin Kilner in 2008. Kilner took office in January 2009 and currently serves Steven, Bishop of Sheffield.
The main Sunday services are:8.45am Book of Common Prayer Service (4th Sunday of the month only),
10am Family Service (with creche available), and 3pm "T" Service (a family-friendly service in a more informal style and setting).
Additional services are held on other holy days throughout the year.
Numerous local activities are conducted in the church hall adjacent to it including the Grenoside Mixed Voice Choir (rehearsals on Monday evenings), and a Mother and Toddlers group on Thursday mornings.
