Oneiroi Productions, the parent corporation that runs SPWF, was founded in 2010. The first SPWF had been held earlier that year, attended by approximately 3,000 people. It is a multi-interest convention focused on a Steampunk
theme.
The Steampunk World's Fair has hosted musicians, actors, reading vendors, a masquerade, and fashion show.
2011 - The second annual SPWF was held May 20–22, 2011 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Somerset, New Jersey.
