Plot

On the road to the south of France, a family picks up a strange hitchhiker. On the same road, a group of young surfers are heading for the coast as well. All those people stop on a rest area where a strange and deadly beast starts to eviscerate them one by one. Is it the dangerous serial killer that just escaped from a local mental hospital, or is it the legendary beast that lurks in the region? With the help of a local cop, the survivors try to make it until the sun rises.
