are called in when the adult daughter of a retired policeman turns up missing. His connections get him the high priority that puts the detectives on the case.
The investigation leads Goren and Eames to the victim's boyfriend, a political activist. While on the trail of their suspect, they find in his apartment traces of explosives and other evidence of homemade bombs. After receiving a terrifying video message and questioning a fundamentalist schoolteacher, they are convinced this could be something involving a terrorist group and a suicide bombing.
The detectives soon realise a forthcoming Veteran's Day parade is being targeted, and they join forces with federal agents in a desperate attempt to stop the attack.
