Ágatha Ruíz de la Prada, was born 22 July 1960, she is a Spanish
fashion designer who is one of her country's best-known personalities in the clothing industry.
Her commercial success came with her partnership with El Corte Inglés. After conquering the national territory, Agatha started to gain international recognition by means of her fashion shows, in Spain, France, Italy, Colombia, USA, Santo Domingo… and exhibitions in Tokyo, NYC, Paris, Moscow, Bucharest among others.
In 1991, Agatha has started to license her brand, expanding her family products to include men´s, women´s and children´s fashion, ceramics, toys, shoes, linens and towels, make-up and more. Agatha Ruiz de la Prada exclusive stores are located in Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Milan, New York, Oporto and Mallorca, and she is also present in independent distributors in over 140 countries around the world. This year, in occasion of the 30th Anniversary of her first fashion show, she has inaugurated her Foundation.

Biography
Agatha Ruiz de la Prada stepped into the fashion world in 1981 with her first women´s collection in Madrid. Being a total success, she opened her first studio in the Spanish capital and began to participate in fashion shows in Madrid and Barcelona. Agatha was a big promoter of the “Movida Madrileña”, an artistic and Cultural Revolution in 1980s, and has since been actively involved in the cultural and artistic scene of the Country.Her commercial success came with her partnership with El Corte Inglés.
