. It was discovered by Sergei Ivanovich Belyavsky
and N. Ivanov on August 29, 1927 at Simeis. Its provisional designation was 1927 QD. It was named in honor of the 25th anniversary of the death of the first astronomer of the Simeis observatory, Alexis Hansky. The asteroid is approximately 77 km in diameter, makes one orbit around the Sun about every 6 years, and takes about 15½ hours to make a single rotation
