. The regiment was also known as 1st East Tennessee Cavalry Battalion and 11th East Tennessee Cavalry Regiment.

The regiment was attached to Willcox's Division, Left Wing, XXIII Corps, Department of the Ohio

The 11th Tennessee Cavalry ceased to exist on March 24, 1865 when it was consolidated with the 9th Tennessee Cavalry.
Records are incomplete, but the 11th Tennessee Cavalry was known to be greatly under strength, ill-equipped, and without discipline. Brigadier General
