185638 Erwinschwab is a main-belt asteroid discovered on March 1, 2008 by the Team of Observatorio de La Sagra.

Erwin Schwab is a German amateur astronomer who started observing minor planets in 1981. Together with Rainer Kling, he initiated the astrometric program at the Taunus Observatory. Schwab has discovered numerous minor planets at the Starkenburg, Tzec Maun and Taunus observatories.
